Here
are examples of barn conversion projects
for which we have been appointed the main
contractor. The scope of such projects
necessitates sensitive treatment of the
original structure despite the major structural
works that are required. Each project
presents unique challenges not least to
successfully reflect the individual taste
of the client.
Barn
A
This
once derelict barn now provides a luxury
home with split levels and display space
for a private art collection. A complex
land drainage system was required due
to the site having been liable to flooding
in the past.
Barn B
Now
a family home, this barn was subject to
drastic structural alterations in order
to provide first floor accommodation with
a feature entrance of green oak glazed
screens and bridge link between the upper
levels.
Barn C
Originally
a cart shed and stores for animal feed,
this barn is now a welcoming family home
in which extensive use has been made of
new, purpose-made joinery screens.
Barn D
Barns do not always have
to be huge to be converted! This smaller
example has been converted to provide
useful additional accommodation to a family
property. It is compact but has everything
required to provide an ideal independent
annexe to the main house.
